Our Mission

The Asian American Women Association of Orange County is dedicated to empowering Asian American women in the community by providing support, resources, and a platform for personal stories. Our organization aims to create a strong network of individuals who are passionate about community outreach initiatives, civic education, voter registration, and social workshops. We are committed to offering valuable community resources and fostering a sense of belonging for all Asian American women in Orange County.

Our vision is to raise awareness, increase membership, and fundraise to support the Asian American women in Orange County. We strive to create a community where every Asian American woman feels empowered, represented, and supported. Through our events, workshops, and advocacy efforts, we aim to amplify the voices of Asian American women and address the unique challenges they face. Orange County, California

Orange County is home to 3,186,989 people, making it the 6th most populous county in the U.S . It is comprised of 34 cities, and 6 Congressional Seats: 38th, 40th, 45th, 46th, 47th, 49th. Orange County is home to the 3rd largest Asian American population in the US, and home to Korean, Chinese, Pilipino, Vietnamese, and other Asian Americans. Vietnamese Americans had one of the lowest levels of turnout among Asian American voters in 2020 at 55%. (AAPI Data analysis) AANHPI are the largest growing demographic in the US, seeing a 47% increase between 2010 -2020. -the county wide population growth is 6% -Vietnamese American Population grew by 32% (2010 - 2020) A large gap between registered voters and potential voters still remains significant in the 2024 election (AJsocal).
